Life “Change” best happens in Life Groups. This past fall we kicked off 64 adult Life Groups at Antioch Church, with over 725 adults involved in these groups. We have married couples, men’s, and women’s groups meeting in homes all over the city at least 2 times a month. We have heard comments like: “I have been a part of this church for years and did not know anyone”; “I am so glad to have a group like this to go to”; and “I have wanted this for years”.
When you read the New Testament, you sense this feeling of community, family, caring, sharing, and scriptural instruction. This is something every Believer needs in their life, and it must become intentional in today’s culture. The Bible says in Acts, “…they worshipped together at the temple, and met in homes…” We give our time to so many events in our life; business, community, school, sports, etc…but the one thing we need the most is Biblical community. When we truly experience this aspect of nurturing in our life, it will make everything else become more alive. A place we can be authentic and be known; a group of people we can serve and make a difference with, and a group of people to pray, discuss the scriptures, have fun, and do life with…in a safe environment.
The desire of your Senior Pastor and this staff is to see every believer get connected in a Life Group. If you are not yet connected and desire to be, we are now receiving sign-ups for January’s new session. Please go by the Life Group booth, pick up a LG card, fill it out, turn it in and get ready to start your life changing journey.
